Water Rates Effective May 1st, 2019

UNDERSTANDING YOUR WATER BILL

Effective May 1st, 2019

The Village of Richmond bills quarterly for your water and sewer use.  Your bill is based on consumption and charges are calculated to reflect water use in a 90 day period.  The water bill is mailed the first week of May, August, November and February annually.

WATER RATES

For the first 4,000 gallons or less $14.88 quarterly

Over 4,000 gallons, cost per 1,000 gallons $0.44 quarterly

SEWER RATES

For the first 4,000 gallons or less  $81.12 quarterly

Over 4,000 gallons, cost per 1,000 gallons $9.40 quarterly

 

There shall be and there is hereby established a debt service surcharge of $25 per quarter applied and charged to each user of the wastewater facility. In addition, the Village shall annually review said charge and consider further adjustment of the surcharge as needed by the respective budget.

Leaf Vacuuming 5/24/19

Prairieland Disposal Village-wide Leaf Vacuuming

Date: May 24th, 2019

Place leaves curbside the night prior to pick up. Leaves placed out the same day of pick up may not be removed.

Village Brush Pick Up 5/16/19

The Village’s Public Works Department residential brush pick up program runs April through November each calendar year weather permitting.

This removal is scheduled May 16th, 2019

The following guidelines have been established for this service:

· Branches must be less than six inches in diameter and less than six feet in length

· No lumber (boards, planks, decking, etc.) will be accepted

· No grass clippings or yard waste

· No stumps

· All branches must be pile curbside, cut end towards the street

· Place brush out by 7:00am on the scheduled day of pick up

Note: This pick up is not for brush or trees taken down by a contractor. If you use a tree service they must dispose of all that they take down.
