Special Event Permits & Temporary Vendors

Please complete the following application for special events that wish to use public property (public parks, public streets, downtown public parking lot(s), etc). Your application is subject to approval by the Village Board and must be submitted 30 days prior to the event to ensure timely processing.

Sales are limited to 3 days in any 90 day period, with proof of permission from a registered Village of Richmond business (vacant commercial properties do not qualify). Any permit obtained outside the stated limitations will be immediately revoked, permit rendered invalid, and you will be notified.

All food sales must comply with all regulations enforced by the McHenry County Department of Health and any licenses obtained, if applicable: https://www.mchenrycountyil.gov/departments/health-department

Vendors (including food trucks) may not use public property, including public streets and sidewalks, unless a special event permit has been obtained and approved by the Village Board (see above).
